About the gallery

Our story

The Canal Boat Gallery is the new name for the Artism Afloat canal boat.

It’s still run by Freda and Dave, as it has been since 2013, and we are looking forward to seeing familiar faces, and some new ones, in our new incarnation.

Why we do run this gallery?

Our unique gallery showcases the talent and creativity of artists living with autism, travelling the canals sharing their work with as many people as possible.

Living with autism can be challenging, but drawing and painting gives our artists joy, confidence and purpose. We feel it is very important to support and celebrate this creativity. We hope that you do too.

The boat doesn’t receive any funding, and is run by unpaid volunteers. We rely on contributions that allow us to continue our work.
